November 2004

From Charlie on 30 November 2004

Been meaning to add a message here ever since I found the site. I'm still a huge fan of the Little Angels and Toby...it's just a shame I'm here down south (Kent) while Toby is performing way up north.
Got into the Angels when someone lent me Young Gods (still a cracking LP) and proceeded to collect as much of their stuff as I could (I actually coughed up for a copy of the '87 EP at a record fair in Chelmsford).
Saw the lads a number of times too, anyone remember when Kentish Town was home to the Town & Country Club rather than the Forum?
Anyway, glad to hear there are still people who remember out there and that Toby is up and playing again. All the best with that Mr Jepson.

Little Angels....Bad, or Just Too Good?!

IS THERE ANY CHANCE YOU WILL BE ADDING THE SCARBOROUGH OPERA HOUSE GIG ANY TIME IN THE FUTURE.I HAVE JUST BEEN LISTENING TO ALL THE ALBUMS.STILL ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT.FROM THE SIREN ON DO YOU WANNA RIOT TO THE REFRESH EP ALL CLASS..CHEERS FOR KEEPING THE SITE GOING

Darren

I've had a number of emails about this and I just haven't got round to adding the bootlegs section to the site.  I will!  However, go to Hot Off the Press and I will add one track a week from this bootleg for you and everyone else to download.  Storage limitations prevent me adding more at the same time I am afraid!  And I'll pull my finger out and get the bootlegs section online by end November!!

Go to Hot Off the Press and download track 1 "Better Than The Rest" from "Live At Scarborough Opera House"

Toby Jepson will be performing for the first time since H2002:beached on Sat 11th December 2004 at the Stephen Joseph Theatre Scarborough at Mojos Music Cafe Night & will be performing new material. Tickets are priced at #6.50 (with 3 supports all acoustic)and can be bought from the SJT box office (01723) 370540.
Please note that this is an all acoustic show & has very limited tickets (only 100!) & it's a very intimate gig so hurry! over half have sold already.
Any queries to dicko@beached.net

It's good to know that I'm not the only one who still remember Little Angels... Bought the first record in 93 (which was Jam), when band was on their way to the end, unfortunately. Then it was Young Gods, Too Posh To Mosh, Too Good To Last, Little Of The Past, and couple of singles (one of which was LP picture disc). Times are changing, and my musical collection too, but after many years I still think the Angels was one of the best GB bands ever.

From Russia with love. Regards, Alex
