February 2002

From Richard Scott on 25 February 2002

I'm counting down the days to see you again Tobe.  I've moved to Switzerland over the last year and will be coming back to see you live.

I can't wait... It'll be great to hear you giving it your all again !!!

Rest assured we will all be there enjoying every moment.  I hope you enjoy your new venture Tobe and all the best of luck.

Richard

Just popped back to say hello! Love the new design, & the fact this site goes form strength to strength. Keep rocking. Cheers, John

From Emma Jones on 17 February 2002

I'm writing in response to "Bruce was a young god's" comments and can't
believe this person can accuse Toby of jumping on the "Little Angels
bandwagon".  How on earth can this be the case when everyone knows that Toby
wrote 90% of all the songs, all he's doing is going out there and performing
his own material - just like any other singer/songwriter.

Believe me, I was a BIG Angels' fan, but I know that when I go to see Toby
and his new band in London (can't wait!) I will not be seeing Little Angels,
nor will I be expecting that.  Personally, I am going to see Toby (who
incidentally is one of my favourite vocalists and songwriters - can you
tell?!) doing what he does best.  To me, these days, it honestly doesn't
matter who is in the band!  I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited about
hearing some of the old songs, as they will always be favourites of mine,
but mainly I can't wait to hear Toby's new material, as the way I understand
it, this tour is more about the future, not the past.

Roll on March!

From Toby Jepson on 17 February 2002

Just wanted to say once again how grateful I have been with all of your continued support, especially now leading up to the tour.
It has been a roller coaster ride for me over the last few months what with not only preparing to launch myself back into the music scene, but also facing the past and trying to keep it all in perspective. You have all helped enormously with this, most of you understanding how difficult it will be going out and playing the old songs without appearing to be treading water, and at the same time débuting the most important element, THE NEW MATERIAL!
My wish is that all who attend the shows can enjoy a small trip down memory lane, but above all check out the new band and material for the future, 'cause that's where I'm heading.

It won't be the same, just different! One things for certain though, it will be ME firing on all cylinders with a kicking new band, playing my songs and thoroughly enjoying playing live again.

with the kindest regards

see you all out there...

Tobe

Anyone know the telephone number for 'The Rock' in Brighton?

From Bruce was a Young God on 14 February 2002

Shame old Tobe has to keep on the Little Angels bandwagon when it fell apart so many years ago. Would be nice to see him stand on his own soap box for once.

From Sarah Cleobury on 11 February 2002

Ok, I will jump on the "Toby I wanna hear.." bandwagon!  "Don't prey for me", cus it made me bawl my eyes out at the Farewell Gig at The Albert Hall!  And then it would have to be "Too Much Too Young" - so many memories to that one!  But of course it wouldn't be the same without Bruce and the rest of 'em, so come on guys do us a favour - PLEASE!!!!!!!  Here's living in hope!  Miss you guys!

HI THERE TOBE, DAME HERE. AS YOU'VE GOT BIG DAVE KEMP(SAXAFONE) WITH YOU ON THE ROAD YOUR GONNA HAVE TO DO 'I WAS NOT WRONG' SO HE CAN DO HIS SOLO WHICH WAS DEFFINATLEY A CROWD PLEASER PLUS ITS A REALLY GOOD UP TEMPO SONG TO GET EVERYONE ON THEIR FEET. DONT KNOW IF HE'LL STILL HAVE THE LUNG POWER NOW THOUGH!. ALSO SHOULD INCLUDE 'WILD SIDE OF LIFE' ASWELL BECAUSE OF THE TEMPO OF THE SONG. ON PREVIOUS TOURS THEY WERE BOTH WINNERS SO THESE SHOULD BE INCLUDED. WHAT ABOUT 'ALL THE ROADS LEAD TO YOU'. THIS SONG WAS ABOUT TO BE RELEASED AROUND THE TIME THE BAND SPLIT UP. AT THE TIME THIS SONG (I FEEL) WAS GOING TO BE A HUGE HIT FOR THEM IN THE CHART AS IT WAS JUST THE KIND OF MUSIC THAT WAS SELLING. IT WAS A SHAME IT NEVER GOT RELEASED, BUT I GOT A PROMOTIONAL DISC FROM TOBY BEFORE THE SPLIT WHICH IS STILL PLAYED ALOT BY MYSELF. IF YOU COULD HERE IT YOU'D KNOW WHAT I MEAN.  ALL THE BEST TOBE, AND SEE YOU SOON BRUV.  DAME

Hey Tobe

Just seems that as everyone else is doing it... why shouldnt i? doing what i hear you ask? Well nominating a track that they would like to hear you play live... personally i gotta plump for:

Juvenile Offender

The reasons are deep and meaningful (probably not to anyone else but they are to me) and also its something that no one else seems to be asking for.

Anyway as i mentioned before catch ya soon and if ya get the chance drop me a line.

Set the world on fire man!
