August 2002

From Mrs Dee Jenkins on 30 August 2002

Hello Toby
Did you ever drink at the Anchor, Godalming, with Bruce & Jimmy D, Ashley, Andrea, Mark Richardson, Kevin & Andy Nixon, Dave Gooding, Michael Lee, Chris Leonard, Jake Gosling, Canadian Pete etc. etc?   They all gigged for beer and pleasure in all their various guises - Little Angels, B.L.O.W., Doll, Kudor 8, Little Giants, Younger Younger 28s etc.   We sold the pub last year and "retired" to Devon, near Plymouth.   Do email me any tour dates that include Plymouth and/or Plymouth and remember us to the above piss/rock artists!

Dee, Dee, A.J. & Sarah Jenkins

PS. Daughter Sarah has jammed with all above singing her lungs out, and has just completed a vocals summer school at the A.C.M.

I read the older message about Mark Kilminster (from BBC's Stamford Amp) using a certain gitar, well he's not from Guildford College. But Stamford Amp's guitarist Chris Leonard, bass player Tim Jackson and drummer Guy Anderton are former students from Guildford College's Academy of Contemporary Music. Could anyone e-mail me baut what's up with that gitar, cos u see I'm looking for information on Stamford Amp for my fansite on them. Hope to hear from any of you...

Well havent things moved on!
Enjoyed a few nights out seeing LA mostly at the Barrowlands in Glasgow......always worth a laugh!
Some of the stuff that's knocking about in my attic like complete shop promos, drum sticks not to mention all those promo singles in boxes and picture discs..that's what hapens when you work next door to a record shop.
Many happy memories and still play the traxs now and again.
best wishes from Scotland

Sad was the day the the Little Angels broke up. I got to see them in Sheffield a few times and bought all the albums. I have since moved to the USA and lost touch with the music scene in the UK.
Glad to see that all the ex Angels are succesful.
Thanks for the site and the info, Little Angels should have been huge, in my opinion one of the best British bands ever!
Dont Prey For Me still gives me chills whn I hear it.

Thanks for the music and the memories, Matt

Hi Iain,

WOW! What a great site, I'd popped in for along time but this morning (Tues 13/08/02) I sat down and read it all.  Absolutely fantastic.  Me n my other half had been hoping/preying to see LA again and when we heard Tobe was up n running again earlier this year, your site did a lot of favours!

Keep us posted! As I'm sure you will.

Take care
