The first thing that struck me upon listening to this bootleg was
how spoilt we are in these digitised times, at first I found the slight hiss
wow and flutter of the original tape source annoying! However once Little
Angels kick in any minor niggles are soon forgotten. At the time of this
recording the band were as tight a live unit as you could wish to find.
Toby`s vocals are strong and his rapport with the audience is great.A real
highlight of this bootleg is the fact that Mark Plunkets backing vocals are
quite high in the mix, making you realise how important they were to the
band`s live sound. It`s interesting to note the audiences slightly muted
response to some of the then new material, especially Womankind, but this
was before Jam had been released. All in all this is a great bootleg and at
the end of it all I could think was "I wish I`d been there!"
